Some of our members started their “fitness journey” when they walked through our doors. Others have been on theirs for years and years and years through other fitness programs. Either way, there is always a First Session when becoming a CrossFitter, which begs the question: What keeps us coming back to CrossFit classes over anything else?
The CrossFit ethos and its methodology drives results, encourages responsibility and virtuosity, and breeds integrity and work ethic. And it does so via group classes that are led by coaches providing one-to-one focus to all. The coaches are what keep us coming back to CrossFit classes.
CrossFit asks a lot of its coaches
CrossFit Trainers have earned the title “Coach” through upholding CrossFit’s uncompromising standards, and producing great results safely, efficiently, and effectively.
The CrossFit curriculum has evolved to enable its coaches to deliver unrelenting commitment to their athletes’ results. Leading a class and offering real training differ greatly. Where one is there simply as a source of entertainment, the other offers deliberate, focused attention to each person one at a time. It’s true that both can yield results, but genuinely knowing and serving someone else with the goal of helping them achieve their goals is what it means to change lives in a truly profound way.
Being part of something meaningful
In CrossFit, the standard is the standard. That means CrossFit Coaches must take pride in their relentlessness in seeing and correcting movement flaws, emphasising quality of movement. Everyone is taught to move well and work hard, and when scaling a workout, it is done with such purpose that everyone in class feels they’re doing the same workout. CrossFit Coaches orchestrate camaraderie so famously associated with our sport – and they make exercise fun!
Colchester Fitness Centre is proud to be hosts to the CFL1 course, and to be part of the process that brings about new CrossFit Coaches to educate, inspire, and entertain future CrossFitters.
