Arguably the most important date in CrossFit DireWolf’s competitive calendar: The CrossFit DireWolf Members’ Throwdown.
We’re always overwhelmed with attendance, and the support around the competitive side is something to be proud of. After the Kids & Teens had their turn with Coach Vicky, we had 16 teams of mixed fours, plus judges and organisers taking over the gym!

Workout One: “Death Before Decaf”
Our first workout saw our teams of four divide into pairs to SEND IT on the rowers and SPIN IT on their skipping ropes! As well as being physically demanding, this workout called for some serious tactical changes. Everyone was firmly in “competition mode” after Event One!

Workout Three: “Pressure Is Privilege”
Event Three was an opportunity for our athletes to show what they can do on the rig; synchronised, of course! A mix of knee raises and toes to bar meant all abilities could have a go, but throw in some devils press and that opportunity soon becomes a little less comfortable!

Workout Four: “Earned, Not Given”
Time for some heavy lifting, after lunch the teams got back on the dance floor to sling some tin. Simple, but effective, the first two from the team had five minutes to build to a heavy hang power clean, then the second two had their go. Heaviest combined top lifts win the event.
