We;ve had sucha busy, competitive Summer this year! From the CrossFit DireWolf Same Sex Pairs Competition a few weeks ago, to our beloved InHouse Throwdown, it’s been a wild ride already… so why not stick another comp in?I IntroducingCrossFit DireWolf’s first members only Mixed Pairs competition this summer.
Workout One: “Bonnie & Clyde”
bike –> sandbag/dumbbells –> bike
What a way to start the competition!
Workout Two: “Evil Deeds”
Clocking up calories on the rower coupled with a midline-frying sychro toes to bar or ab mat sit ups.
Workout Three: “Kamikaze”
This one called for some serious shoulder endurance with double unders or single unders to pre-fatigue before Rx athletes had a go at barbell STOH for max weight and scaled athletes had a clean with a jerk or press in their version.
Workout Four: “Killshot”
More synchro work to round off the day with dumbbell thrusters and burpee box step ups. Goodbye, legs!
The idea of our Pairs events is to give CFDW members a taste of what competition might be like should they be interested but nervous. Our seasoned competitors certainly put on a show, but newbies get to enjoy some comp-floor wins for the first time, as well as test their nerve in a familiar environment.
