The Christmas parties at CrossFit DireWolf are always a double-big-deal as we celebrate our “birthday” around the same time of year. We really do go all out. This year, for our fifth Christmas Party, we celebrated in style by returning to Colchester Rugby Club for a three course meal, our annual “Wolfies” awards, plus singing and dancing into the wee hours.
As you might expect, the night began with welcome drinks, followed by food and more drinks, and then finished with dancing and even more drinks… quite a few more!
Before the booze really set in (for most of us!), Mark and Sam hosted the eagerly-anticipated “Wolfies” awards ceremony. Since our first ever Christmas party, part of the festivities involves a sort of round-up of the year we’ve had in (and out) of the gym, taking the time to congratulate everyone’s hard work, and shout out some of the stand out performances from the previous months.
With awards including the highest class attendance, the most improved weightlifter, and wins on the rig, we called out the messiest, clumsiest, and most confused members (and coaches!), and made sure everyone knew how proud we are of their progress.

When the awards were over, and the next round of drinks were ordered, we turned up the music… and the karaoke machine. For most of those in attendance, it gets a little hazy after that!
