After Chloe of Blossom Hair Studio suffered an injury that rendered her unable to work, she was let down by her insurers and left in an extremely difficult financial position. When our little community got wind of her troubles, we decided to make her the beneficiary of our annual rowathon.
Kicking off at 11am on Friday 26 September, our teams and helpers rowed in shifts for 24 hours, all to raise funds to help our Chloe.
Together they covered a whopping 1,350,601 meters in total (Coach Cowler’s Team: 341,100m, Coach Mark’s Team: 334,108m, Coach Mahlon’s Team: 339,199m, and Chloe’s Own Team (featuring Coach James): 336,194m) and raised nearly £2,000, smashing the original target.
A huge well done to those who took part, and big thanks to anyone who played a part in the event and in raising money.
